1- SAFETY AND ACTIVATION INFORMATION

1.1 GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The design of this equipment complies with all applicable safety standards. However, failure to comply with safety regulations can cause damage to the equipment and/or harm to people.

Do not use the equipment if it has any visible or known damage.

Do not attempt to repair the equipment if it is not authorized by the ARVIKON®. If damage is found, the equipment must be repaired immediately in an authorized service center of ARVIKON®.

1.2 INTRODUCTION

This user manual contains all the information about the operation of the system and its proper installation. Be sure to follow the instructions provided in the manual and in case of any doubt contact your authorized dealer or service.

1.3 OPERATION

HANDLING
The equipment is operated exclusively from the ARVIVIEW control unit, and from a mobile device or PC. It is never operated on the electronic switchboard itself except to perform a HARD RESET with the button located for this purpose.

 

PROFESSIONAL SETTINGS
A series of adjustments must be made in the professional menu to the type of batteries, power, etc. These adjustments should only be made by personnel authorized by ARVIKON® and taking into account the type of installation that the vehicle carries.
A bad fit can lead to malfunction of the equipment and even damage it or connected loads.
No warranties will be accepted in case of damage due to a bad adjustment in the configuration of the equipment.

1.4 ACTIVATION

ATTENTION!
Failure to comply with this notice may cause damage to the equipment and/or connected loads.

  •  Make sure the batteries are properly installed with protective fuses
  • Make sure all loads are properly connected
  • Access the professional settings menu and configure the equipment properly

1.5 BATTERY CHANGE

ATTENTION!
Failure to comply with this notice may cause damage to the equipment and/or connected loads.

  • Disconnect the battery from the corresponding terminal from the equipment
  • Then change the battery
  • Connect the battery to the terminal and make sure you have the appropriate battery type selected (if the battery has been changed)

4- LAUNCHER ANDROID

The image of this launcher, the style and the number of applications installed will be different depending on the design chosen by the bodybuilder that mounts the Arvikon system.

  1. Access box to the vehicle control system (control unit).
  2. Rotating boxes with different applications installed (music, utilities, maps…) You can discover the apps by swiping horizontally across the box and rotating it.
  3. Menu of general settings of the operating system.
    • BRIGHTNESS: You can adjust the brightness of the screen;
    • WIFI: Access the WIFI connection of your system;
    • SETTINGS: Access Android settings;
    • VOLUME: Adjust the volume output of your control unit;
    • FILES: Access the files available in the system;
    • DOWNLOADS: Access the downloaded files.

To return to the launcher whenever you want, just swipe from the bottom edge of the screen, to lift the Android toolbar and tap on the circle.

6- HOME

6.1 OVERVIEW

This screen is the main one, it contains a quick view of the most basic systems of the home part of the vehicle and a carousel of quick access widgets.

  1. Battery motor: Displays the voltage of the car battery and a graphic dial of its capacity
  2. Totalizing Ammeter: This data is a totalizer of all charges and discharges of the vehicle in real time, if the data is positive, the home (auxiliary) battery is charging, regardless of consumption, and vice versa.
  3. Home (auxiliary) battery: Displays the voltage of the home (auxiliary) battery and a graphic dial of its capacity
  4. Motor, solar and 220V charging: These small indicators show the real-time current received by the different inputs of the system. They are accompanied by a small icon at the top next to the time.
  5. Clean and grey water level: It shows the water level in real time next to a graph of its capacity, it will also show a warning icon when the levels are low or high.
  6. Widget carrousel (see 6.2)

6.2 WIDGET CAROUSEL

You can configure this carousel to your liking by pressing the button: “ADD DEVICE” always located at the end of the carousel. You can add as many widgets as you want.

Pressing the “ADD DEVICE” button displays a menu with all the available widgets, just select “ADD” or  “REMOVE” to place them on the list. The order of the widgets is the order in which the widgets were selected.

Widgets are for quick action use. With a long tap they execute the predefined command by the user or by the system.

If more widgets are added than fit the screen, you can move between them using a horizontal swipe.

Each user connected to the remote system has their own widgets in their APP.

7- TEMPERATURE CONTROL (CLIMA)

7.1 GENERAL

This screen contains the equipment and information about heating, air conditioning and gas.

  • Heating
  • Indoor and outdoor temperature
  • Gas/diesel system (if configured)
  • Air conditioning (if configured)

7.2 HEATING

  • Power button: You can turn the device on or off with a long press. When shutting down, the device goes through its mandatory cooling process.
  • Temperature setting: Select with + and – the desired temperature.

EQUIPMENT WITH CIBUS: If the connected devices are equipped with CIBUS protocol, additional information will be available on the screen such as: selection of power source, operating modes etc.

7.3 TEMPERATURES

It shows the interior and exterior temperature of the vehicle thanks to the installed probes.

7.4 GAS SYSTEM

With this box, you can activate or deactivate the vehicle’s gas systems installed by the bodybuilder. Gas shut-off valve, piezoelectric, gas alarm etc.

This box will be visible depending on the configuration of the vehicle.

8- WATER

8.1 GENERAL

This screen shows the operation and values of all water equipment in the vehicle.

8.2 BOILER

  • On and off: Press and hold to start
  • Mode selection button (depending on the selected device)
  • Power change button (depending on the selected device)

EQUIPMENT WITH CIBUS: In the case of equipment with CIBUS protocol, many more options will be available in the equipment such as: selection of power source, operating modes, etc.

8.3 CLEAN, GREY AND BLACK WATER LEVELS

It shows the water level in real time next to a graph of its capacity, it will also show a warning icon when the levels are low or high.

In the case of black water, it only indicates 0 and 100% with an alarm when full (*).

*The availability of black water measurement will depend on the installation of the bodybuilder.

8.4 EMPTYING VALVE

Manages the emptying valve by pressing:

  • OPEN: To open, press the button once, the indicator will turn orange while the valve is opened (30sec)
  • OPEN: While the valve is open, the indicator will be green.
  • CLOSE: To close, press the button once, the indicator will turn orange while the valve is closed (30 sec)
  • CLOSED: While the valve is closed, the indicator will be grey.

*The availability of this electric valve will depend on the installation by the bodybuilder/installer.

8.5 DRAIN VALVE

Handles clean water circuit drain valve.

  • OPEN: To open, press the button once, the indicator will turn green.
  • CLOSE: To close, press the button once, the indicator will turn grey.

This valve also acts automatically with ARVIKON® SmartModes.

*The availability of this electric valve will depend on the installation by the bodybuilder/installer.

8.6 WATER PUMP

Operate the water pump with a single push to activate or deactivate.

Likewise, the water pump will act automatically, turning off in some planned scenarios and / or to avoid breakdowns.

9- ACCESSORIES

9.1 GENERAL

This screen contains the operation of the accessories installed in the vehicle. *

These can be motors, mobile furniture, awnings, lifting beds, slides out, electric lifting ceilings (accessories will depend on the type of installation carried out by the bodybuilder).

9.2 FRIDGE

You can activate or deactivate the refrigerator, as well as see the actual temperature inside if the probe is installed.

9.3 MOBILE FURNITURE

You can open or close the cabinet by pressing the arrows.

9.4 AWNINGS

You can open or close the awning by pressing the arrows.

9.5 ELEVATING BED

You can raise or lower the bed by pressing the arrows.

9.6 SLIDE OUT

You can open or close the slide out by pressing the arrows.

9.7 POWER LIFTING ROOF

You can open or close the roof by pressing the arrows.

10- LIGHTING

10.1 GENERAL

This screen contains the management of the lighting of the home part of the vehicle.

10.2 TURN EVERYTHING ON AND OFF

  • Turn everything on: If we press this button, all the lights of the vehicle turn on maintaining the dimmer values that were left the last time they were turned off. 
  • Turn everything off: If we press this button, all the lights of the vehicle are turned off maintaining the configured dimmer values.

10.3 LIGHT LINES (X6).

  • Turn online: Long press turns on the light line at 100% or with the last value saved (with dawn effect).
  • Turn offline: Long press turns off the light line and saves the adjustment value you had set.
  • Intensity regulation: Short press increases or decreases the intensity of the light 10% by 10%. First it goes up to 100% and then it goes down to 0%.

10.4 LIGHT MODES (SETTINGS)

Save mode:

1º- Configure all the light lines to the intensity level you prefer

2º- Press and hold the button for 5 seconds to save the preferred configuration. The indicator light will turn green if saving was successful.

  • Activate light mode:

Long press turns off the light line and saves the adjustment configuration you had set.

  • Disable light mode:

You can exit light mode by modifying any dimming values and/or turning off all lights.

10.5 PHYSICAL SWITCHES

When any of the vehicle’s physical switches are activated, the status of the lights on the ARVIKON® equipment also changes the status on the display.*

*This function depends on the type of installation performed by the bodybuilder.

11- POWER

11.1 GENERAL

This screen contains the data of the vehicle’s electrical system and with a horizontal swipe you can access the electrical equipment screen.

11.2 BATTERIES

Displays battery voltage, capacity indicator dial and configured battery type.

11.3 TOTALIZING AMMETER

This data is a totalizer of all charges and discharges of the vehicle in real time. If the data is positive, the auxiliary battery is charging, regardless of consumption, and vice versa.

11.4 AMMETER ALTERNATOR, SOLAR AND CHARGER

They show the load current data in real time on a graphic dial.

11.5 SYSTEM CONSUMPTION AMMETER

They show the real-time DISCHARGE current data of all the consumptions installed to the ARVIKON® unit and also represent it on a graphic dial.

11.6 SHUT DOWN THE ENTIRE SYSTEM

With a press on this button, ALL consumption connected to the ARVIKON® system is turned off.

11.7 TURN OFF NONCRITICAL DEVICES

With a press on this button, LIGHTS, GAS, BOILER, WATER PUMP and INVERTER are turned off.

11.6 SHUT DOWN THE ENTIRE SYSTEM

With a press on this button, LIGHTS, GAS, BOILER, WATER PUMP and INVERTER are turned off.

11.8 AUXILIARY OUTPUT

One press activates and deactivates the auxiliary 12V output.

IN ADDITION, THERE IS A SECOND WINDOW THAT IS OPENED WITH AN HORIZONTAL SLIDE. 

11.9 INVERTER

You can activate or deactivate the inverter as well as see its consumption current.

11.10 CHARGER

You can activate or deactivate the charger as well as see its consumption current.

11.11 SOLAR REGULATOR

You can activate or deactivate the solar regulator as well as see its consumption current.

11.12 FUSES

General

This screen contains the operation of all electronic fuses in the system.

This screen is the third windows in the Power area.

Fuse status

You can see the status of all fuses. If one of them has tripped, you will see an alert icon on it.

Resetting a triggered fuse

To reset a triggered fuse, click on it and then click on “RESET”.  If it is triggered again, it is a recurring breakdown, and you have to go to a professional workshop.

Turn off an outlet by triggering a fuse

If you want to turn off an outlet by triggering a fuse, you should press and hold the same fuse until the alarm symbol appears.

11.13 VICTRON VRM

For those who have a VICTRON system installed with the Cerbo and want to have the possibility to use all settings of the Victron system, the following display can be activated in Settings and made available in the system, with a new icon showing up at the bottom.

12- SMART MODES

12.1 GENERAL

This screen shows the Smart Modes.

12.2 ENABLE OR DISABLE SMART MODES

With one press you can activate or deactivate any Smart Mode.

Some of them are automatically deactivated or activated depending on what happens in the vehicle’s environment.

There are other automatic modes within the ARVIKON® system that are part of the A.I. and cannot be activated or deactivated by the user.

If the mode cannot be enabled, it will turn off immediately and a failure will be displayed in the warning panel.

12.3 SMART MODES INFORMATION

    1. ECO FRIENDLY MODE
    1. “It uses only energy from the solar panel and the battery: the engine charging systems are cancelled”
    2. This mode allows sustainable lifestyle and makes possible to check if the the habits and the installation on board allow to be self-sufficient. If it is not possible to remain self-sustainable, the system automatically switches off the mode and leaves the source settings again.
    1. FROST CONTROL MODE
    1. “It monitors the temperature and acts intelligently against a possible risk of frost, making use of the water pump, the boiler and the drain valve.”
    2. This mode prevents freezing of the water system and therefore related breakdowns. It will try to keep the system safe and if it cannot, it will depressurize the water installation of the vehicle to avoid serious breakdowns. *
    1. FROST CONTROL + CLIMA (TEMPERATURE CONTROL) MODE
    1. “It monitors the temperature and acts intelligently against a possible risk of frost, making use of the water pump, the boiler and the drain valve and also turns on the heating of the vehicle.
    2. This mode prevents freezing of the water system and therefore related breakdowns. It will try to keep the system safe and if it cannot, it will depressurize the water installation of the vehicle to avoid serious breakdowns. *
    1. PIPE CLEANING
    1. “Automated water pipe cleaning mode” (Requires the use of specific cleaning products)”
    2. This mode performs a complete cleaning of the piping system, tank etc.
      1. Fill 100% clean water tank and empty to 0% grey water.
      2. Leave all taps open and pointing to the drain (some with cold and some with hot water).
      3. Add to the clean water tank a cleaning solution such as (chlorine, cleaning vinegar etc.)  in the right amount according to the liters.
      4. Press the mode and let it act under surveillance.
      5. Once the grey tank is full or the clean one is empty, the system stops automatically.
      6. Let the treated water rest in the greywater tank for 24 hours and empty.

     

    1. HEATING CLEANING
    1. “Perform a cleaning cycle of the heater, duration 30 minutes.”
    2. The mode alerts when the heater has worked for 300 hours straight. With one press the system makes a cleaning cycle of the heater for 30 minutes. ** ***
    1. NIGHT MODE
    1. “Disables noise-generating equipment such as inverter, water pump, etc. and times the total shutdown of lights in 5 minutes.”
    2. This mode is automatically deactivated when you press any function of the ARVIKON® unit.

     

    • *The company ARVIMARINE CONTROL SYSTEMS is not responsible for frost damage to the vehicle, consult with your specialist the correct way to protect the system.
    • **The vehicle must be left with all doors open during the cycle.

13- MANUALS

This screen contains all the user manuals of the equipment installed in the vehicle.

You can read your vehicle’s manuals by clicking on any of the icons.

* For all manuals to be downloaded, it is necessary to connect to the internet at least once so they could be downloaded from our servers.

14- ALARMS AND NOTIFICATIONS

14.1 GENERAL

This screen contains the history of alarms and faults recorded by the ARVIKON® system.

14.2 ACTIVE ALARMS

Active alarms are displayed in the system in real time. They can be deleted to recognize them.

14.3 ALARM HISTORY

 Displays the history of alarms and faults recorded by the system.

15- SETTINGS

15.1 GENERAL

This screen contains the system settings menu.

15.2 PROFESSIONAL SETTINGS

Settings menu dedicated to ARVIKON Customer Service. Making changes to this menu without authorization or proper knowledge may cause damage to the equipment and third-party equipment.

15.3 SCREENSAVER

You can set a screensaver to 30″ 60″ or infinite.

Access the launcher to the SETTINGS section of Android.

GO TO: DISPLAY –> SLEEP

Select the waiting time you want from the list that appears.

 

15.4 UPDATES

ARVICORE Firmware Update

ATTENTION
This process can damage the equipment if it is not done with caution: carefully follow the instructions given by the system.
The system must be connected to the internet to be updated, enter the settings of the screen to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

General

Press this button in settings to access the update menu.

Check Update

Click this button so that the system can check for updates.
If there is an update, the message will be displayed: IT CAN BE UPGRADED TO A NEW VERSION.
If the system is updated, the message will be displayed: THE SYSTEM IS UPDATED.

Update

If the message is displayed: CAN BE UPGRADED TO A NEW VERSION.
A button will appear with the text: INSTALL UPDATE NOW.
Press the button and wait for the progress bar to complete, the system will restart automatically, and the system will be updated.

Troubleshooting

If there is a problem, the system will give the following message: NO RESPONSE IS RECEIVED FROM THE DEVICE, PLEASE RESTART THE POWER SUPPLY. Possible causes:

  • ARVICORE connection wire with the ARVIVIEW screen is loose: check the connection.
  • ARVICORE equipment is frozen: restart the system from the BAT2 board or terminal to fix it, there are three options:
  • OPTION 1: Release the nut
    from the BAT2 terminal, remove the cable for two seconds and replace it and tighten the nut. The system will restart, and the progress bar will continue.

OPTION 2:
Access the ARVICORE device and press the RESET button located at the top right The system will restart and the progress bar will continue.

  • OPTION 3:
    Reconnect the connection cable between ARVICORE and the ARVIVIEW display and then restart the system with option 1 or 2. If the problem persists, go to an ARVIKON Customer Service.

Upgrade of APP ArviView 7" & 10" and Android devices

ATTENTION
This process can leave the system unusable if it is not done with caution: pay attention to the instructions that the system will offer you.
The system must be connected to the internet to be updated. Enter the settings of the display to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Click on the “UPDATE APP ARVIVIEW” button

Download the new APP

The download of the new APP will start automatically, it is possible that Android asks you for permission to save file in the internal memory. You must accept before you can continue.
The ARVIKON APP will not access any photo and / or content of the device except the file to be downloaded called APP.APK.

Update

Once the APP is downloaded and accepting the permission (in case of a request), an Android pop-up appears.  Click on INSTALL or UPDATE according to your device and the new version will be installed.

Once installed, click on “OPEN” and the system is now configured and updated to the latest version.

Troubleshooting

After downloading the APP, it doesn’t install

Go to Downloads and run the .APK file that has just been downloaded and follow the steps normally.

The system crashes during the process

Turn off the system and then turn it back on and try again. If the problem persists, go to an ARVIKON Customer Service.

15.5 REMOTE CONNECTION

General

    • Allows you to disconnect the vehicle from the server so that no one can access.

    • Close the current session and expel all users, generate new keys and reconnect the phones you want to use.
  • CONNECTION INFORMATION
  • SECURITY AND ENCRYPTION EXPLAINED
    • The Arvinet network is encrypted point to point, no one can see the information or access the vehicle that has not had access to the QR code of this window.

Remote connection error resolution

The camera doesn’t scan the code

Sometimes it happens with low-quality cameras,

A: Move the camera pointing at the QR in case it is a brightness issue.

B: Try another mobile or enter the code by hand.

The mobile connects, but the data is not refreshed

Make sure that the APP on the vehicle’s fixed equipment is in the foreground. If you have closed it or left it in the background, the data is not refreshed.

A: Close the APP and reopen it

B: Uninstall the APP and reinstall it

15.6 SYSTEM ID

Displays system IDs and their versions.

15.7 LIGHTING SETTINGS

 Modify a light line

  • You can rename the light line by inserting a new name.
  • You can choose the icon from those in the list
  • You can decide whether you want to hide or keep that line of light visible
  • You can decide whether the line should act with dimmer or only ON/OFF

15.8 CHANGE LANGUAGE

You can change the language by selecting any of the drop-down list.
The available languages are currently English, German, Spanish, French. New languages can be added in a short time if required.
